The Loneliest Bench In The City

Even if you were to listen 3 times, it still wouldn’t take you 7 minutes to listen!

i sat down on one of the loneliest benches in the city amidst the piss, perfume, and upscale degradation _ it is with no hesitation to witness : that, this is a city filled with pretty & superfluous dreams.

all of which are split at the seams because the luxury of such life : bears insufferable strife.

on every corner, folks gather and scatter to enter the markets, to meander and shop!

hoping that their cards and credit won’t flop!

the currency and change makes one deranged through the arrangements of who potentially may be able to try it.

or who is willingly able to buy it?

if the advertising scheme is to beam any light, it’ll glow constantly through the morning, evening and late @ night.

glistening programs intending to influence your thoughts and the framing around them.

the measure is neither bountiful or slim.

as it concerns who gets to feel the impact of this glitter…despite the pockets of litter found in between streets or the desperate cries for consumption via uber eats.

the packaging is more real than the supposed material gain.

the profits remain, only among those that exploit the collective masses.

to this bench, i testified of a memory belonging amongst the lowest of classes.

when having no shelter, clean apparel, or access to a prescription to refill my glasses…

i struggled to see : how social systems could justify this neglect while claiming freedom simultaneously?

abruptly: the loneliest bench in the city – spoke back to me (with these words) : “as cement is drilled into a hole, and wooden wedges are placed inside to fill the vacant sole – so shall the ruling class walk on by, sitting on top of skyscrapers – built up high, like pigeons: it is there that they spy : to maintain their hegemonic & cawing lullaby.

Brand New Trash Can

The worlds most expensive trash can run up 10,000 dollars but hey it’s made out of gold leaf stainless steel! What a catch! 😀

Amazing! Now, look at this trash can! All of what it holds is of importance! I can’t convince you to buy it because it’s merely a trash can. It’s meant to be the storage of what you don’t want. So who cares anyway, about a brand new trash can?

What if you don’t have to touch the trash can? Some trash cans come with a lever that pops up. How convenient! But if you press too hard on some of these machinery trash cans, the lid can pop up too quickly! But at least you don’t have to touch the lid! You need only grab the handles to take the bag out!

Have you ever used a trash can, that takes out the trash for you – without you ever having to touch the bag? At the expense of this example not going too out of hand – what are you even throwing away, if you don’t want to carry the bag? Is it even worth the investment to buy one of these expensive trash cans? What if you were offered a trash with various buttons and surprises?! Would you be willing to accept the offer and at what cost?

Sometimes when sharing sensitive data you should preface it with a warning. In fact, if there’s not a warning at all – you can’t be surprised when it spills on the floor. When the word gets out on the internet there’s no coming back. *Screenshot, Crop, Repeat! * You can also renew and make your own with a new version that can’t be traced to the original source. That’s the beauty and danger of the internet.

Anything goes and can be uploaded again or reconfigured without your direct control. This is a free space and feeling that brings joy but also misery to those who wish to wield power over their creations. You ain’t got power although limited through various media hosting sites.

Trying to stop the internet is like trying to stop the snow. (I see you popping around the corner Mpls! :D) It keeps on falling and can provide any range of resources. From ‘Sooo cold you can’t talk outside to having nice weather even with the snow. The Brand New Trash Can is an indication of new and old information – also the midterm elections in the U.S have encouraged everyone to sell their brand new trash cans! Headlines, advertisements, everybody wants you to spend your money and buy into a story! It’s the game of life – Some channels are worth seeing while others aren’t.

Somebody will buy it, the numbers don’t lie but neither does the trash! Everybody should know when it’s time to take it out – the nose never warns you much like a surprise of another brand new trash can!

Do You Really Like That? (Research)

Image

Do people really think before they click ‘Like’ next to an ad? OR do they simply ‘Like’ all of the people/things/events that show UP? I’m beginning to think, it’s just done out of mere relevance and existence of the ad.

While on Facebook: I noticed a lot of ‘Mitt Romney’ likes from my friends, and while this did not particularly bother me, I did question if people simply liked it because it was on their faces, or if they genuinely liked the ad.

I sell advertising space for a living, and if there is not one thing I know is that: putting something on anyone’s face, is likely because you want them to buy without really thinking. Especially, if it is convenient and packaged nice, there is really no need for a value statement. Not everything is sold that way, but if you want quick results, all you really need is a decorative persuading agenda. It’s like standing in line with a basket full of groceries and appliances while you are waiting to pay for those items – ALL of sudden you see all of these random items you just so happen to forget while shopping!

ALL of a sudden, you start thinking getting a lip balm wouldn’t hurt? As well as some magazines and candy. EVEN as there is really no value in getting them at the time, the waiting seems to make more sense when it’s used up.

BUT I am seriously beginning to think, MAYBE we should not be so easy to click ‘Like’ to all we see because some of those things you ‘Like’ are not benefiting YOU. If you are just clicking/getting things you like because it is in front of you, maybe you should evaluate your vulnerability. I can’t compare the act of ‘Clicking Like’ to actually ‘Getting something you like’. (Although, Targeted Ads are a real thing!) The more elaborated notion is whether you like something based on it being in your face or a genuine affection for it. There are some things besides us we really do like, but neglect because they are not really crucial. Many things in life we get, basically because it gives us a sense of pleasure and makes our day a bit brighter. Somethings we get simply to help us not go the extra mile. In the scheme of things, more time should be invested in research than just getting whatever shows up.

I do not advocate researching every single thing before buying anything. There is nothing more controlling; than a paranoid mind subjected to fear of its own virtue.

I’m just saying, be careful and do your research before you just claim you ‘like’ something. These things that are so ‘easily’ liked can very well be a Wolf in Sheep clothing. This subject has many lengths and widths, but I think the more we get so focused on claiming our affection, without proper attention to value and benefit, we sometimes lose ourselves.

Summarized Notion For Thought: For it is the innuendo of desire that manipulates the motive and the reasoning behind why we get what we crave.
