Anonymous Eggs
What’s gonna crack?
Will it be the bone, glass, or the burden on my back?
The riddled shipment came on my front door, it was a packet of anonymous eggs!
By the size of them, you would think they had ostrich legs!
Maybe they were supposed to fall from an eagle onto some distant oak tree?
But, since they landed on my doorstep – they solely are for me!
Now, what the hell will I do with a basket full of hope that might turn asunder?
Damn! I just dropped them and they sounded like lightning and thunder!
Anonymous eggs are the random possibilities that may hatch or crack on our doorsteps. Who will solve the riddle? The very few who paid attention to the clues and picked up what was hanging on the coat tail, OF COURSE! (Not many :D) ‘Riddle Me That’ is my next and final project that I am releasing in a long while. I realized looking back at my videos that they have suffered due to poor quality tools. My production is evidence of old materials that are swimming to reach the shore of glistening clarity.
I also realize all of the time I put into creating a project and how much of that creative energy, can be used for a disciplined writing schedule. After all, I am in the process of writing my book and a new wave of creative juices are flowing. Also, I’d like to make room for other ways I can connect with people through community organizing. My words will remain the stage providing a foundation for something new. I’m just being real about what is looking back at me. So much work to do but so much is already coming!
We’re all sending each other anonymous eggs and some of them crack like Humpty Dumpty while others may hatch into something meaningful. Thank you to everyone who has followed along already! A huge shout out to those who are following along and are already to expand with me in this (k)new year. (All thr33 of yall!!!) As empirical as I strive to be, I somehow convince myself something will change when it’s a new year. (It’s been proven that the universe experiences no significant changes, but humans alas finds a correlation!) Ain’t nothing wrong with connecting the dots and numerology is a great way of exploring the ways x meets y. I’m still in 1999 although I was 7 at the time – here is to cracking and hatching! Once, either of them happens – ain’t much you can do besides clean up or provide cultivation for what is alive! (unless you’re boiled into a hard egg, after which you’d be as funky as ever.

Interrogate The ‘Why’
- “I can’t speak for anyone else, but I either know or I don’t know.”
- “It is only by grace through faith that we are saved. It is sort of like saying can you be saved if someone is reaching down the grab you from a sinking ship, but you smack the hand, then no you can’t be saved cause you are rejecting what can save you.”
- You can have faith and be lost too. In our mindset, we know where we gonna go but in reality, things will throw us off and we can get lost for a little IF we pay attention to that escape that is prepared for us to exit to that right path. So either way, both sides can get lost with or without faith. We just need to wake up and pay attention.”
- “Only in case one is religious.”
- “If you’re sincere.”
- “Belief = Faith Faith=Belief.“
- “You can have all the faith in the world and still the one doing the saving can still choose to say no.”
- “I Like To Believe That All Roads Lead Home.”
- “If you ask from religious folks their answer is yes.”
- “All forks in the roads lead to a destination.”
- “Lost or found – faith has little to nothing to do with it.”
- “Sometimes being lost is better than being found rather than being taken back to a house that isn’t a home.”
- “Yes, because if you don’t keep the faith – you are already lost, but what’s wrong with being lost?”
- “Faith is neither here or there – it’s a word to describe hope which we all have to some extent. Not having this, doesn’t make you anymore at ‘home’ than you being lost until you get to your destination.”
- “Faith is a worthy substitute. Our “gut feeling” comes from nowhere else but the highest. Some people call it common sense. Some people call it instinct. If people ask for evidence of proof, I believe that your mind and feelings are sufficient enough.”
- “Faith is born of evidence given in mysterious forms.”
- With me, I can see the evidence unfolding but it’s not ready to give birth yet. But my faith is like it has to be there, it just has to be there, oh it’s going to be there, heck yeah it’s there!!! BAM there it is after the fact. It scares me and then I’m reminded of Him that I asked and my faith was just strong to break those walls down!
- Do I believe in God? Heaven and Hell? Evidence and proof of a feeling, proof of our own human minds. What is right and wrong? Judgements! Create feelings! Hate is a choice. We must unlearn! I will say this for the record. I have been told I am going to Hell because of my demonic queer, lifestyle. So ungodly! This is what I tell the people who tell me this.. To be honest, I would be happy and grateful to go to Hell. Finally surrounded by my LGBTQ family, it would be one big happy LGBTQ dance party. I would be much safer in hell, then I am, here, on earth. The reality I live, is that people want me dead, because of religion, and religious beliefs, is that being Christian? I thought that was 1 of the ten commandments,”thou shall not kill?” Oh but you’re not actually taking a gun and pulling the trigger, but you are! You are separating yourself individually and now as a collective whole with judgments, right and wrong, those bullets are silent and yet very deadly… and Yes there are real bullets too. People actually die in the LGBTQ community. Someone in my LGBT family was murdered, found dead, two weeks ago, this exists people. Check your faith people – what you believe.
- If it’s a belief, it’s not evident.
- I think the very definition of faith is to believe without evidence. If someone tells me that there’s money growing on the tree in their yard, I’m going to want evidence before I turn up with my basket and start picking! But faith is almost a form of esoteric evidence, where you know something is true, even though you don’t have the evidence required to prove it to someone else. Luckily, we don’t have to, which is why faith is usually either a very personal, or else community-focused thing.
I’m genuinely puzzled by religions that try to convert people because they literally have no evidence to show, so they are trying to somehow generate faith in another’s heart, and that’s like trying to make a rainbow. You can’t make a rainbow, only God (or the Universe/alternative higher power/science) can do that, and it typically needs a particular set of circumstances in the lead up to it.
In general (although there are exceptions), the bigger the storm, the brighter the rainbow. Similarly, the bigger the crisis, the brighter faith shines in someone’s heart when it finally arrives (and it probably doesn’t ring the doorbell!) - Not having evidence and believing is Faith.
- Thank you to everyone who participated so far! You may or may not find your answer here but this series will continue on until July. My goal in providing these answers are not to dissect the categories of where these answers stem from. Philosophy and opinions share the same veins and the goal here is to expose the blood that gets us going. Although, we are not always going. Standing still in the middle of our quest – while we interrogate the ‘WHY’. What leads us to these various paths? The more we ask – we get a little bit closer.
(XYZ) Correlation & Causation
You cannot really prove anything. You can only provide evidence or disprove something. What’s considered a fact is only a collection of shreds of evidence that you affirm – which hasn’t been disproved as of yet. It’s important to highlight the word (YET) Cuz when enough time passes – it’ll be evident that what was is no more. The power of yet keeps coming and going and will always be the ultimate decision maker.
The media helps at this – it brings us a bit closer to what’s going on.
People can’t help but get mad when things don’t go how they expected. I consider myself a word scientist. I’m always dissecting and observing the way sentences are heard and the way they are processed in the mind. If you could know before things went south, you’d consider yourself ‘Warned’. For years people around the world have considered this to be ‘Prophecy’ – some human in the wilderness screaming out “Trouble is coming – get Yo house in order” most people wouldn’t consider this person as anything other than crazy.
I remember growing up – there was a lady who lived on the corner of our street who we nicknamed “The Junk-lady house” understandably so because her house was filled with weeds and she has several cats gathered around her house. I remember once I had to confront her because a piece of mail came to our house instead of her house. No one in my family wanted to send it over but me being the curious one decided to take the challenge. I remember running up to her door to only knock on her door very loudly. I was nervous because I felt something would come out and bite me! After about 5 seconds I decided to run away only leaving the package on the doorstep. She eventually opened the door and said why are you running away? Come in – I promise nothing will come to get you.
Turns out, she was a sweet woman named ‘Ookie’ she said the best way to remember her was her name was like a cookie – but without the C in front of it. She always would cut people’s grass for free and offer her services. Under one condition – you had to hear her talk about environmental causes. That’s all she talked about. How the planet is going to waste because we cut down too many trees which give us energy.
Last time I heard anything from her was while watching ‘Hoarders’ she was in this episode and I nearly freaked out because I remembered her. At any rate – she had a point. The world was suffering but everyone around the world only knew her as the crazy woman who had a junky house.
Nonetheless, we are warned. Whether we listen to this or not – doesn’t change the fact people gonna complain about not being prepared enough.
So many people arrive in various peculiar beliefs because they piece together things based on how it correlates with something else.
However, Let it be known:
Correlation does not show causation.
This is one of the number one things people get wrong over and over.
“Studies show that MRI scans of people who watch porn display HEAVY BRAIN DAMAGE, see this means, porn damages your brain!”
“Increases in snowballs being sold in the summer are strongly correlated with drowning accidents. See, Jesse you better stop eating snow cones or you risk drowning.
Correlation does not result in direct causation.
This is also a time where we focus so much on what is agreed. You can have a conversation filled with extreme passion and once a point has been made someone at the end of it will sometimes say:
“Well, I don’t agree”
Well, I don’t make statements to validate who’s in my amen corner. Inform me of your Y’s in contrast to my X’s. It’s cool.
We have this absurd obsession with getting people to agree with our said beliefs.
I wrote about this before on Facebook but I’ll say it again here:
In psychology, there’s a concept called “confirmation bias,” where people only accept evidence of things that already confirm what they believe. Researchers have been studying this for years and I can testify as of late, how real that shit is. Have you ever factored in what makes you believe what you validated for years? The more you check yourself on EVERYTHING (Yes, it’s a process but well worth it – There’s no graduation involved) you’ll begin to pull at your own line of questioning. A lot of this will be heartbreaking but hilariously enlightening.
In the absence of evidence from proponents of existence, there is exactly zero reason to subscribe to an implausible belief for which its proponents offer exactly zero valid support.
Proximity is close enough to the truth.
The truth of an experience, the truth of right around the corner, the truth cuz it might just happen to me.
How many times have you heard that? “It COULD HAVE BEEN ME!” Well, maybe if the variations were the same but come on. 😛
Be aware of how you counter this illusion.
Next time (XYZ) which is to assume the same variables at play now will happen again. Well, it won’t. Probability says – the results that occurred now will occur again but that’s likely not to happen.
We often like to think, if we were to make one minor change in our direction then the whole outcome will be differently. This is true to a degree, but slight changes are just as monumental as BIG changes. You can’t run out of lengths when widths are maximized.
This reminds me of the scene from ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’
“When the package was wrapped, the woman, who was back in the cab, was blocked by a delivery truck, all the while Daisy was gettin’ dressed. The delivery truck pulled away and the taxi was able to move, while Daisy, last to be dressed, waited for one of her friends, who had broken a shoelace. While the taxi was stopped, waitin’ for a traffic light, Daisy and her friend came out the back of the theater. And if only one thing had happened differently; if that shoelace hadn’t broken; or that delivery truck had moved moments earlier; or that package had been wrapped and ready, because the girl hadn’t broken up with her boyfriend; or that man had set his alarm and got up five minutes later; or that taxi driver hadn’t stopped for a cup of coffee; or that woman had remembered her coat, and got into an earlier cab, Daisy and her friend would’ve crossed the street, and the taxi would’ve driven by.”
Just those subtle changes make a whole lot of difference. However – it’s been made. It happened in the way it did – if only we could think of what we do before we do it – if math could be reversed?
