when eye look at the the full moon tonight, I’m reminded how my life was changed this day 7 years ago at Paisley Park. i’ll never forget that conversation and feeling. it was spiritual, all aglow, and all encompassing : much how the moon has 8 phases, various stages in between.

This was a night of correction _ a reminder of where I was standing.

i’ve never seen myself as much of a ‘fan’ but appreciator and admirer of his music. it was very clear i admired and some may say even ‘ADORED’ Prince’s music. (Shoutout to The One!) ❤

I downloaded /purchased all of his (and related) albums and remembered all the lyrics! the music just connected with me. it’s like Prince knew how to ensure all the instruments including silence, we’re always so clear to hear and feel. to this day, truly i am moved. something about that Purple Music!

it was this night where i gave a private tour of paisley park alongside with TrevorGuy to journalists from Europe (pictured above) it was also announced to me for the first time that, Prince would be doing a solo Piano and Microphone Tour all across Europe in 3 weeks!

Alongside with MonoNeon (Bass Guitar) Donna Grantis (Guitarist) , Adrian Clutchfield (Sax & ewi) , and Kirk Johnson (Drums). As for my position? I‘d be working the teleprompter! he assigned me this position because he had watched my videos and was aware of my knowledge of his music and aware that i could keep up with his sudden musical transitions.

this was all so unbelievable to accept. And while this ultimately did not occur due to Ticket Scalping, and him deciding to have the first show at Paisley Park – the mere invitation was enough to transfix my anticipation.

amidst my glory and elation : it was reminded to me by Prince himself _ “You are in this position because you carry a light, you needn’t be shocked; you are here because you belong here!” i had smack myself out the fog of disbelief – it’s like nah man, take another look of what you have and USE IT! You don’t need to be surprised, just go with a smile and do the work!

Share your light and don’t hide it – ‘LIVE OUT LOUD‘ was after all the first song that I received from him in an email. it all became clear to me and my figuring out became glorified, it was like I had seen and walked into the light. Only after being guided by a mentor and oracle. I remember smiling and holding onto this revelation because it was that exact affirmation that encouraged me to continue with my soon to be released project ‘Characters In The Wind‘ which was going to be in New Zealand of that next year in 2016.

It all came at once, much like this memory. I’ve just returned from seeing Metallica in Hollywood, Florida! I’ve been listening to Metallica for about a year now and this being my 3rd show of theirs : it was an amazing experience. Much of it reminded me of how it was like being in the Prince community however this scene is totally different! Ha! They’ve been around for over 40 years and the sound just hits you. Especially when you peep into the different changes they’ve experienced throughout their career. The show I attended was for the ‘Trues’ as it was only songs played from their first two albums on the MegaForce label : ‘Kill Em’ All & Ride The Lightning’.

It was a special experience and I got to share it with my dearest friend, comrade, and sing-out loud to bad songs homie: jamilah! it was a electrifying night with vibrational intensity. From the conviction in Lars Ulrich drum playing, to the emblazoned passion in Kirk Hammett’s guitar playing. Matched with the throbbing resolution of Rob Trujillo’s bass guitar playing, harmonized with James Hetfield’s rhythmic guitar swagger – they bring something signature and sincere.

Experiencing music is all about connecting to the thing which can’t always be explained. It causes you to re-evaluate where you stand in the great congregation of life. All Together Now! (more or on that later in the Upcoming audio book!)

Everyone on this planet has value and importance. Don’t let this backwards system of Capitalism convince you otherwise ! they are constantly feeding us lies all based in individual and backwards ideology that serves only the interests of empire. We can and should work together, how else can we build if we are stuck in our own individual vacuums struggling in silence?

to hell with that! Realize you are a social being. you are breathing air. you desire community! all of us do. even introverts who prefer the company of themselves, still understand the necessity of contact with the other. it can’t be just you. it’s not just you. it’s never just one person.

Connecting with all of the forces that join in harmony is what this struggle is about. It’s not going to be easy because correction is hard to swallow for a lot of folks. Why? Because of liberalism. For those who do not know what Liberalism is a great text on this is by Mao Tse-Tung : in Combat Liberalism he writes:

“To let things slide for the sake of peace and friendship when a person has clearly gone wrong, and refrain from principled argument because he is an old acquaintance, a fellow townsman, a schoolmate, a close friend, a loved one, an old colleague or old subordinate. Or to touch on the matter lightly instead of going into it thoroughly, so as to keep on good terms. The result is that both the organization and the individual are harmed. This is one type of liberalism.”

THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE TO FIGHT EVERY DAY! Because we are all trained and socialized to be liberal on maters. Conflict avoidant. “I don’t talk about X Y Z” All of these avoidances are a result of how the system of capitalism trains us to silence ourselves when we are confronted with truth. We have to fight against that and struggle for a better world.

ALL of that to say : looking at the Full Moon reminded me of some of these notions to also weigh the minutes that have been counted before me! It has been written and said. I’m basking in the glow, the fullness that is to know.

UNIFORMLY RaNdOmLy in S3arch of Paradise Clarity : THE PHOTOSHOOT! this gives me an opportunity to not say so much (save the captions!) now the photos will do the talking! This is our 3rd photoshoot together (a charm it was) especially after 7 years since the first time we took photos which I used for my poetry album ‘August Feels Like Wednesday‘ in 2015.

Shoutout to Danny, for being such an incredible photographer who KNOWS what to bring out in a photo session. She made me calm and realize the objective I had, could be realized and experienced. This provided a ‘KNEW’ introduction of sorts to who I am and where I am going.

‘WAIT A MINUTE! TyPo Or FaiTh?’ has been in production for a while (released briefly in the fall of 2020 only now to be re-introduced with added context and audio book) It taking full form upon me JUMPING BACK INTO THE FIRE! (Da Souf!) With gas prices going up and with the thick boot of capitalism against our necks? We have no other choice but to organize (within a revolutionary organization) to combat these forces against the advancement of humanity.

These ‘Ism’s’ exist to continue the myth that we’re unable to do anything. However, we can radicalize our ideas about the structure of society and inform ourselves via a historical analysis. We can’t do it alone y’all!! here’s to adhering to a unified mission to fight for our lives!

Part 1: BUTTONS : buttons are blessings and they are like the passengers but instead of ‘gas’ all you need to ‘pass’ is a needle (a vehicle / medium) containing the energy to sustain. needle, thread, and a ‘knot’ is all it takes for the button to remain.

THE EVISCERATION OF BUY – DOOM!

the record has demonstrated to us – that the corporate class will always be favored over the working class. they matter more because they play a significant role in the exchange of profits. i’ve known some incredibly hard-working people in my life. i’m willing to bet you know these same hard working people. modern and popular culture give extreme acclaims and trophies out to anybody who is seen as a hard worker.

it’s often repeated:” DON’T WORK HARD – WORK SMART.”

on the surface: this statement seems to make reasonable sense. if you find out a way to complete a task in a quick and efficient way – it makes the work less stressful. anyone can appreciate a good tip – the unexpected kind that really changes your life. like a recipe to an easy meal which always shows up on time, when the seasonings are ever so faithful to the script. to such a delight is this! we often consider these tips ‘life hacks’ because we’re pulling the strings towards a shortcut to the access point.

however, it becomes clear over time, that a lot work doesn’t promise a defensible hack. many of the programs we’re involved in – specifically leaves us out of the notion.

haven’t read the instruction manual – yet you have the hard headed ambition to attempt a massive construction? you can expect unsatisfactory outcomes!

there’s something brilliant about ambition and tenacity. when you really want something – you can work very hard too and still be left out of any of the shares.

hmm! why is this?

there’s a lot of gray matter in life but there’s also a lot of weasel jargon intended to keep you unaware of the function. the many ways we’ve been lied to by others and ourselves is enough to make you SHOUT!

it should be enough to pressure a closer examination into the intentions of others and ourselves. some of us stand at risk to crafty manipulation engineered by a sugary coat of confirmation bias. we like what we want to hear and not always what will yield better outcomes.

this shouldn’t alienate us into despair, however. you can very well like what you like and also know what to do with that affection. we will always meet someone who knows more than us // has experienced more in a particular field // and may be in a better position to answer similar concerns.

pandemic, pandemic! but while you are freaking out – notice how everyone wants you to BUY everything! why? cuz they want you to believe you’re doomed. fear is sold and packaged daily by media news outlets because it incentives engagement. this is the kind of engagement that only uses RED LETTERING AND CAPITAL CONCERN. YOU SHOULD WORRY AND ACCEPT IT’S INSANE RIGHT NOW!

when someone says it’s going to get worst before it gets better – what they really mean is to brace for impact. however, you can do something to buffer the cut. once aware – you can’t unsee the impending transition of passing reality. we must act now but to what end – will this act, react to the invisible things? viruses after all are unseen and the cases vary but in a case like the coronavirus (CO-VOID19) is very new and vapidly spreading.

some are more at risk than others but what we do know is the gradual acceleration into tactic propaganda, is at war with factual and reasonable solutions we have at our fingertips. (and hands – wash them please!) we’re all in this together, thus we’re responsible to one another. there’s an essential reframing of the responses we can adhere to.

if anything this does show us how the focus has shifted blame from actual and structural causes such as (industrialized farming and livestock production) to delayed emergency planning.

there’s coming a day and it is this very day and time,
where the TRUMPet blow circus tunes. the price is right! according to the insurance companies who prefer to negotiate the price in a expensive rapacious like way. these corporations have purchased the favor from democrats and republicans. the two party system grants illusion of choice. etc etc.

it would be a sight to witness the eviscerating consequence of lessons unlearned. as it turns out – if you don’t apply reason to where you lacked it, the result remains inert. if one was to claim to have truly learned something – a pop quiz of responsibility seems to always find its way to the corridor of their life experience. it’s not about IF it comes but when it does in fact come – how will you deal with it THIS time?

“Whose going to go to the prison or the courthouse after the replication has been made? – after the mirror has been polished from dusty to jade. over and over, the lines are not fully played!”

Hello, Human Being!

Because of this shift in the climate. Let’s be aware of the changes we must make in response to the earth. All around the world, we are experiencing a shift in the atmosphere. There has been an interruption of the patterns that have been in motion for hundreds of years. With the ice caps of glaciers melting, diseases that have existed years prior are now returning back to the surface release back into the ozone.

There’s no conspiracy about these transitions – we all got to come together and bring awareness of what we can do about these life-threatening conditions. If we aren’t willing to bring back the need to have these serious conversations about the shifts in the universe – we will continually lock ourselves to traditional dogma.

There’s no need to limit our understanding when there is unlimited information out there. THIS IS THE AGE OF THE INTERNET. Read a book. Invest in new forms of renewable energy. Become friends with the Sun. Stand with your brother and sisters. Reach out and come together. Don’t be afraid to count the costs.

So much is at stake. Life is at stake, and we are the ones who can something about it.
