Hand & Glove
It makes for a colorful scene! “Do you know what I mean?” The delivery of a promise doesnโt ensure itโll get there in time. The package is sometimes lost! Who knows if they sent it with insurance? Now you are expected to perform at your own delivery! I heard somebody for New York exclaim “Nobody owes you a damn thing!” Some promises cannot be obtained.
“I know What I Said…But Ugh…”
Does this mean people should not promise in the first place if they have an idea that they wonโt be able to deliver? When someone makes a promise, do they expect of themselves that they meet their goal? Is it important to remind someone of the promises they made with you? How well do you value a promise once it is given?
What is a promise? When someone says they can do something for you, do you expect them to do what they say would do? How would you know them to do anything if youโre unsure? And to what extent is someone forgiven for not delivering what they said they would do? If you believe a promise, does that make you delusional if that belief is not rooted in reality? If someone makes true their promise, does that make them trustworthy? What are the reasons we make promises to each other?
Do we build the walls or bridges when telling someone we will do something? Does the future of a promise matter more than the past promise? What about right now?
That’s when hope emerges. And, if you gonna hope for something, hope for something positive. It ainโt even here so at least make sure itโs tolerable and pleasant! Why imagine it to be misleading when it can bring glory!?

Hope is like a Hand & Glove. A fit like this is a protective measure against any possible danger. In order to ensure proper defense, one must carefully dress the hands in defensible gear. Clothes like these are designed to keep the hand free from bacteria. Somethings just fit. They fit because they find…
A rhyme. A twin. A reflection.

Choices – Nikki Giovanni
Poetry unlocks the romance of words joined with a window through innuendo. Crescendo or more – there is a triple sensation of heaven by the third dimension. As far as I’m able to travel // I’m rallying the rope with a firm grip by the symbol of illustration. Words become more like a character when joined with setting and power of delivery. In poetry living in the parenthesis is safer than living by the literal lines. So, what I’m saying is inside the innuendo of the said text. Thanks to poetry -it may seem invisible // completely faded from the picture, but actually – it’s in the background hidden as an extra. They’ll get it on the way back home. Like a dream, being reminded that what they saw in intense observation was recorded by a poetic lens.
In honor of #WorldPoetryDay // One of my favorites by Nikki Giovanni – Choices. This one feels like water streaming down to my esophagus into my belly. It fills me with complete compatibility and parallel syncopation. It eases the quest, if only for a little while. Thank you, Nikki!
