How To Sew A Button (part 5)

In episode five of : How To Sew A Button – We’re back to the 2 hole button! I did less talking in this one with instead captioned instructions. At the end of the video I also add a short poem alongside with transitionary phrases of outfits.

Part 5!

Meet me in a space where there is no time

somewhere you can lace, where there is no rhyme

find me in a place where there is no grace

in a space where there is no taste

look into me

and tell me what you really see?

is it me?

or is it the tree?

or is it button therapy?!

THE 7TH ALGORITHM TRAIN ðŸª¡ðŸ§®ðŸš‚

2 1 4!

2.) = the 2 hole buttons which act as one straight line. (:)

1.) = the invisible shank where there’s a wired loop underneath. (n)

4.) = the 4 hole buttons which can be sewn as (X) or (::) these are most common on dress shirts which often come in 7 buttons going down from top to bottom.

buttons INDEED connect and the ‘gesture’ of button therapy is the
search to bring clarity! if not for buttons on our clothes, we wouldn’t
have a united force which harmonizes the divide.
buttons are blessings, y’all! in the same way, every one of the
blessings in my life have united me to a deeper connection and
understanding.

RESPECT THE SILENCE!

me and jeremy had the privilege of interviewing Doug Levison! he was made famous by a viral video 6 years ago, entitled ‘trumpet fight‘ where he hilariously goes off on a trumpet player (sucka!). he uses words like contemporaneously, presumptuous, and FLAT. what moved me most about this video was how clear and specific he was in delivering his grievance. first time i watched it was in january of this year and i couldn’t stop watching it. i watched it over and over until eventually remembering it verbatim. i shared it with jeremy and he found it just as hilarious. he then began to research and find connections that actually sheds a plethora of ironic parallels. have a listen on PlanitJade to check it out!

if you were to just watch the video for the first time you’d *probably* think doug was being an ass whole. cuz he really doesn’t spare any punches to the guy.  YET, he does it in a poetic way.  it’s something about his passion that gives it a new wave of presence. not to mention what looks like a contradiction of his practice of  (TM) transcendental meditation for 47 years. doug was clearly bothered and he spares no regard to the distaste of what he’s hearing.  it pays to follow along to the story as there is perhaps some context that may give context to his disatisfaction.,\

turns out doug actually is the owner of the website Flower Power Creative which is”...a community dedicated to motivating a more compassionate society. Through our events, books, media interviews and website, we hope to inspire action and dialogue in politics, the environment, women’s rights, animal rights, technology, music and fine arts.” check it out to connect further with his mission and connect with the silence or noise!

in doug’s own words:

“An artist respects the silence, it serves the foundation of creativity…”

he claims this as he SCREAMS in protest to the one making the noise. he stresses the need for the guy to get a gig because the guy does not have any talent.  in short, he sucks! he proceeds to scream and follow the one making all the noise! he even goes as far to say the guy is NOTHING! A DISGRACE! EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD. NO. NO. NO.

Life is absurd. Contradictions may reveal themselves in readings of neglected mirrored refractions. Let’s all respond to each moment in harmonious servitude to ourselves and others.

A.T.S.S. (Gifs And Stats)

BACK TO YELLOW!

I’ve remastered various videos and will have them re-released this month. The funny thing about this is that most people haven’t even seen these videos so they are basically new videos that have never seen the light of day. When I look back at the numbers of my content, I’m underwhelmed about how many people never ever watched them. 😀 That’s OK though, the internet always provides a room for you. Even if discovered years later! 😀

I asked my friend Unicole to write down her thoughts on Gifs and Stats and she did an incredible job conveying this message. Check out her message here!

Lemme show you what I learned. Hold up! See! Now according to this study – you can actually be wrong and right at different times.
Ain’t That Some Shit?!

When the unexpected becomes the reality beyond your ability to see it in the near distance. When it rains on your picnic! Ain’t That Some Shit?

The ones who were supposed loose, end up winning by a landslide! Ain’t That Some Shit?

The fitness trainer eating healthy decided to cut out meat and dairy but was still eating fatty snacks and sugary treats and end up having health problems because of it. Ain’t That Some Shit?

No matter how much you study and practice, if you don’t memorize the basics, you can still fail. Ain’t That Some Shit?

We live our life talking to one another unable to see ourselves, however, people can see us and what we look like. Ain’t That Some Shit?

By invalidating emotions but granting hardcore facts, we risk losing proper interpretations of both. Ain’t That Some Shit?

If you ever had to say “Ain’t That Some Shit” at any point, please share with me! 😀

The Encounter (of The Bullet)

You can not always dodge the bullet meant for you. Some people come to the party already locked and loaded. By preparing yourself for any possible encounter with danger you still risk the encounter of a wildcard. To be shot is to be healed by the medication of bandages and possible surgical procedure. *Unless shot in the head or if the bullet punctured a vital point.* We can’t always miss the bullet especially if there’s one designed for you. If a sniper is out chilling on a skyscraper somewhere, they have you in target and nothing can fully protect you from it.

It’s a safe comfort to know, at most times this isn’t the case. If you’re free from pissing off the wrong people, there’s no bullet with your name on it. At least not an actual bullet, but if we’re talking about a metaphorical bullet dressed as a threat?

Those you won’t be able to protect yourself from. Nowadays people go through extreme measures to shame and silence if you come with criticism. We can see how this clearly happened with Nicki Minaj in her recent interview where she implied women should not “sell sex” and to know their worth. This sparked various comments from people challenging the root of her statements to get an objective point of view.

However, Nicki actually responded to someone on Twitter personally by not only attacking him but encouraging her ‘barbs’ to follow suit to teach him a lesson. This resulted in thousands of death threats, revealing his personal phone numbers and address, and personal attacks on his Twitter page. Nicki Minaj has millions of followers and he has only over 240k. This is an example of abused power at the expense to publicly embarrass you because of a disagreement.

The internet has become a place where we consistently release our disagreements and even go as far as talking against someone the moment they disagree. Threat culture seeks to dimish and silence those that simply steer in another direction. If you express an opinion of someone who’s favorable their army so to speak can come at you unawares. I experienced this recently with another popular psychologist who has gotten a fair amount of attention – Jordan Peterson.

It started out as a simple debate he had with Fry, Dyson, and Goldberg about Political Correctness. I watched a small portion of their debate and in this clip, I happen to agree with Dyson a bit more than Peterson. (I eventually watched the whole debate and I happen to validate all of the points they offered) I expressed my reasons for this and expressed them but people *by the hundreds* came to tell me how wrong my views were.

Luckily, I don’t have a large platform as of yet and I have not gained nearly as much attention as some people have but if I did – I wouldn’t see the end of it. This is the case for anyone online especially now who may encounter a mob just by simply expressing a difference of thought.

The Encounter of a bullet. The Encounter of a mob. The announcement of our fears may invite them into our psyche. However, we can still speak out against the threat. This reminded me of a video I made 3 years ago. It must have been inspired about the same things that are inspiring me to bring it back out again. I remember uploading it but I did very little to remind people I made it. In other words, there was hardly any promotion or tags to get it out there. UNTIL NOW.

Oh, the wonders of the internet. It never goes away.

I’m only saying what a lot of people have said throughout history only that I’m sitting down for seven minutes talking into the camera the old school ay. No edits, no filters. I hope you can find something in it and share it with your friends and yes, make it go viral or at least on your timeline somewhere! 😀
